The Election Commission of Pakistan has declared PPP Chairman Asif Ali Zardari the president of Pakistan.

Today, the electoral watchdog released Form VII of the presidential polls. It stated that Zardari secured 114 votes out of the total 592 votes cast in the elections.

The PPP leader is expected to be sworn in as the president around 3pm. He will be administered oath by Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa.
