JSM plans Sindh-wide protest against crimes

NAWABSHAH: The Jeay Sindh Mahaz (JSM) has called for a province-wide protest on March 24 against the deteriorating law and order situation and increasing cases of kidnapping in Sindh.

Addressing a press conference at Tando Adam press club on Sunday, JSM chairman Riaz Chandio, along with Dr Khushhal Kalani and Pervaiz Chandio, announced to holding a sit-in in front of Hyderabad Press Club and other parts of Sindh on March 24.

He said the law and order situation was the worst in the province whereas the cases of kidnapping were on the high rise.

Criticising, he said the Afghans or Somalians were not behind the poor law and order, it was due to the dacoits who were present all over Sindh, especially in the upper Sindh areas of Kandhkot, Kashmore, Larkana and Khairpur

He said the Sindh government had completely failed to maintain the law and order and ensure safety and security of people.

The same situation prevailed in Sanghar where crimes had made the life of citizens and business community miserable, he added.

Mr Chandio alleged that the police were actually behind political workers whereas criminals were free to commit crime.

Hindus of Sindh were being abducted under a conspiracy due to which thousands of them had already migrated and others were planning to shift, he added.

He questioned what was the purpose of spending billions of rupees on police and Rangers in Sindh if the people were not safe.

The JSM leader said his part would not keep silent; it would resist.

He said the JSM would stage a historic sit-in outside Hyderabad Press Club on March 24 whereas roads and highways of other parts would also be blocked on the day.

He urged lawyers, journalists, teachers, peasants, labourers and others to support their call and attend the protests.
