Swabi boy dies while making TikTok video

SWABI: A 15-year-old boy died after the pistol he was holding while making a TikTok video allegedlywent off in Gadoon Amazai mountainous belt here on Friday, his family and police said.

They said the boy along with a friend had gone to a nearby forest to make TikTok videos. They said the boy forgot to know the pistol he held while making video was loaded, and when he pushed the trigger, a bullet hit him, killing him on the spot.

The body was shifted to a hospital for autopsy.

Hikmat Khan, an uncle of the deceased, told the police that his nephew died while making a TikTok video.

The Gadoon Amazai Industrial Estate police station started investigation after registering a case.

Meanwhile, a man was shot dead by his rival on Friday, the police said.

A woman got registered an FIR with the Swabi city police station, stating that her husband, Haroon Khan, belonging to Maneri Bala, was killed over an old enmity.

The body was shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital for autopsy.

ARRESTED: The police on Friday arrested three people from the premises of the Chota Lahor courts, foiling their alleged bid to attack their rivals, according to a press release.

On a tip-off that three armed men had reached the court to target their rivals, a police team led by DSP Chota Lahor Fazal Sher Khan and SHO Altaf Khan arrested them. They were identified as Ehtesham Khan, Bahar Ali and Abdullah. The police also recovered three Kalashnikovs and six magazines from their possession.

Similarly, the police also arrested another person from the court premises and recovered a pistol and dozens of cartridges from his possession. The suspect was identified as Sudais Khan.

In a separate development, two persons were injured when a vehicle hit the median of the Peshawar-Islamabad Motorway at the Karnal Sher Khan Interchange on Friday after one of its tyres burst, rescue officials said.

A team of Rescue 1122 provided first aid to the injured, and shifted them to Bacha Khan Teaching Hospital, Shahmansoor.
