Day temperatures to go up across Sindh from today

KARACHI: Day temperatures are likely to increase in most cities and towns across Sindh during the next three days due to high pressure in the upper atmosphere, the Met department said on Tuesday.

It said most areas in Sindh would experience three to five degrees Celsius above normal temperatures from Wednesday (today) to Friday.

“Weather is likely to become more hotter with daytime maximum temperature ranging from 45-47°C in upper and central districts of the province,” the Met office said.

In Karachi, the maximum temperature is likely to range between 36-38°C during the next two days. On Tuesday, the maximum temperature recorded was 37.1°C with 54 per cent relative humidity in the afternoon.

The department has advised the people to avoid unnecessary exposure to sunlight.

The Met office has forecast rain/dust storm/thunderstorm in Sukkur, Jacobabad, Kashmore, Larkana, Dadu, Qambar-Shahdadkot, Jamshoro and Sanghar district on May 11 under the influence of a westerly wave that is expected to enter the country on the night of May 10. Soaring temperatures are likely to subside during the wet days.
