Ten more May 9 riots suspects get bail
LAHORE: An anti-terrorism court on Tuesday granted post-arrest bail to 10 more suspects in the Corps Commander House attack case of May 9 riots.
Judge Arshad Javed allowed bail petitions of the suspects subject to furnishing surety bonds of Rs100,000 each.
The suspects include Atif Nisar, Mohammad Naeem, Syed Mazhar Hussain Shah, Khalid Iqbal, Mohammad Riaz, Nadeem Ali, Rana Islam Mubarik, Mujahid Ali Shah, Tanvir Ahmad and Mohammad Tanvir.
The judge adjourned the hearing of 24 other bail petitions till Wednesday.
On Monday, the judge granted bail to 13 suspects in the same case.
Sarwar Road police had registered a case against leaders and workers of PTI for attacking and vandalising the corps commander’s house of Lahore, also known as Jinnah House, during the protests of May 9 last year against the arrest of former prime minister Imran Khan from the court premises.

Separately, Judge Javed adjourned till May 9 bail petitions of PTI-Punjab president Dr Yasmin Rashid in two cases of the May 9 riots.
The judge directed the prosecution to produce the record of the cases at the next hearing.
The PTI leader sought bail in cases of torching the PML-N office in Model Town and police vehicles on Sherpao Bridge.
