India confirm participation in T20 Blind World Cup
KARACHI: India have confirmed their participation in the forthcoming T20 Blind World Cup being staged in Pakistan, Pakistan Blind Cricket Council (PBCC) chairman Syed Sultan Shah said here on Thursday.
The PBCC chief disclosed this during a meeting with Sindh Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Sardar Mohammad Bux Khan Mahar at his office in Karachi.
Mahar expressed confidence in discussing the matter with Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, aiming to ensure the province does not miss out on this crucial opportunity.
According to Sultan, seven countries including India have confirmed their participation in the T20 Blind World Cup which will take place in Karachi from Nov 22 to Dec 3.
Speaking on the occasion, the provincial minister highlighted Pakistan’s prominent position in the world of blind cricket.
Welcoming the T20 Blind World Cup, Mahar said the Sindh government was ready to host this significant event in Karachi.
The meeting was also attended by Provincial Secretary Sports Jalaluddin Mahar, chief engineer Aslam Mahar, media adviser of the Pakistan Olympic Association Asif Azeem and Sindh Olympic Association secretary Ahmed Ali Rajput..
