Pakistan reach AVC Challenge Cup quarters
ISA TOWN (Bahrain): Continuing with their sublime form, Pakistan defeated Thailand 25-22, 25-14, 25-21 in the AVC Challenge Cup at Isa Sports City Hall on Monday to confirm their spot in the quarter-finals.
Musawer Khan was the most prominent performer for Pakistan, who clinched the Central Asian Volleyball Championship on home soil in May, as he eked out 30 points while captain Murad Khan contributed with 20 points to lead the national team to an important victory.
On Sunday, Pakistan made a solid start in the tournament when they beat Kazakhstan 25-19, 25-19, 25-21.
