Yousuf Dewan Companies revives Shehzore and launches electric car Honri VE in Pakistan

Eco-Green Motors Limited, a subsidiary of Yousuf Dewan Companies, has launched Pakistan’s first locally assembled electric hatchback, the Honri VE2.0.

Alongside this, Dewan Farooque Motors Limited has reintroduced the Shehzore, a lightweight truck known for its reliability.

Honri VE launch

The Honri VE2.0 was unveiled at the “Future Assembled” event, marking a significant step towards sustainable transportation in Pakistan.

The hatchback, priced at Rs3,999,000, offers a 200 km range per charge, potentially saving drivers up to Rs50,000 per month on fuel costs.

Saleha Hassan, Director of Sales and Marketing, emphasised the vehicle’s advanced features, including ABS, EBD, TPMS, and an IP67 rated dustproof and water-resistant lithium battery.

“We aim to bring green change and will install charging decks across Pakistan,” a Punjab government representative added.

The partnership with Chinese automobile expert Honri ensures the VE2.0 is suited for Pakistani roads. With nine dealerships across the country, Eco-Green Motors Limited is poised to expand its footprint in the electric vehicle market.

Return of the Shehzore

Dewan Farooque Motors Limited has reintroduced the Shehzore truck at the same event.

The Shehzore now comes in three variants: STANDARD CABIN (Rs3,859,000), KING CABIN (Rs4,179,000), and GRAND CABIN (Rs7,499,000).

Dewan Muhammad Yousuf Farooqui highlighted the truck’s robust engine, large carrying deck, and durability.

The GRAND CABIN variant includes an extra row of seating alongside a cargo deck, a first in the light commercial vehicle industry.

Since 1998, Dewan has been instrumental in bringing brands like Kia, Hyundai, BMW, and Mitsubishi to Pakistan.

The Dewan Farooque Motors Limited Sujawal plant, one of the largest in Pakistan, underscores this legacy. With over ten dealerships nationwide, the company is reasserting its presence in the local market with the locally assembled KIA K2700 Shehzore.

A new era for Pakistani automotive industry

With the dual launch of the Honri VE and the Shehzore, Yousuf Dewan Companies are steering Pakistan towards a future where electric and commercial vehicles play a pivotal role in transportation.
