Vanilla dreams
This is concerning the story “Vanilla dreams” by Maleeha Farooqi (YW, May 11th). I loved reading this story as it was a humorous tale about every child’s dream of indulging in a never-ending land of sweet desserts. The main character in the story finds herself surrounded by an abundance of her favourite treats, but she quickly becomes bored and overwhelmed.
The story delivers an important message that too much of anything is bad and can lead to negative consequences. It reminds us that moderation is the key. By enjoying things in balance, we can avoid potential problems and truly appreciate what we have.

Sharing is caring
This is concerning the story “Sharing is caring” by Maryam Habib, (YW, April 6). Sharing is a powerful way to strengthen relationships between people. When we share with others, whether it’s our time, possessions or feelings, it helps us create a sense of connection and closeness. Sharing also sets a positive example for others, inspiring them to be generous and considerate as well.
The story emphasised how a child’s selfish behaviour caused others to avoid sharing anything with him or even allowing him to look at their possessions. However, when he recognised his negative behaviour, he felt ashamed and decided to change for the better.

A hearty treat for mum
This is regarding the section Wonder Crafts, “A hearty treat for mum,” by The Crafter (YW, May 11). I loved the craft because it beautifully conveyed our heartfelt emotions through a lovely fluffy heart filled with sweet treat.
I made it myself, and although it took some time, it was worth it. My mum was awestruck to see something I made just for her. I would like to suggest that The Crafter create more crafts that help us express our sentiments to our loved ones.

A letter to my mum
This is about the article, “A letter to my mum” by Ramsha Mujib (YW, May 11). The article beautifully expressed the writer’s heartfelt feelings for her mother, as she thanked her mother for the vital role she played in her children’s lives.
This touching piece reminds us that our mothers are our true protectors and guides. It’s important to appreciate their irreplaceable role, not just on Mother’s Day, but every day.
