Two killed as car rams into roadside tree in Swabi
SWABI: Two cousins died and their four friends suffered injuries when the car they were travelling in rammed into a roadside tree on the Swabi-Jhanda Road here on Saturday.
Rescue 1122 officials said that six youngsters hailing from Jehangira village were on their way to Pehur High Level Canal in Jhanda area for taking bath when their car met with a fatal accident.
Mohammad Sami, 18, and Mohammad Musa, 20, died on the spot.
Luqman Khan, a Rescue 1122 official, said that the bodies were taken to the District Headquarters Hospital for autopsy, while the injured were shifted to Bacha Khan Teaching Hospital, Shahmansoor, where condition of two of them is stated to be critical.
The injured were identified as Esa Khan, 20, Sameer Khan, 15, Saifullah, 17 and Yahya Khan, 14.
Meanwhile, a fire broke out in a forest on the Gabghani mountain in Gadoon Amazai area on Saturday.
Rescue 1122 officials said that after receiving information teams of firefighters had been dispatched to the area.
