‘Save Gaza’ sit-in ends

ISLAMABAD: The 41-day-long ‘Save Gaza’ sit-in at D-Chowk came to an end on Saturday after Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi assured the participants that the government had no objections to their demands.

According to a press release, the participants of the Save Gaza campaign announced that they were going to end their sit-in following their meeting with Mohsin Naqvi.

Talking to participants of the campaign, the minister said every Pakistani had similar feelings for Palestine and they had no objections to any of their demands.

He said Pakistan was already playing its role in this regard and would also work on the implementation of recommendations made by the Save Gaza campaign.

The minister also offered his condolence to the families of two persons who lost their lives in an unfortunate incident during the sit-in.
