LAHORE: The Home Department imposed Section 144 on Wednesday to restrict the cutting of Phulai and Kahu trees in Khushab district and their movement out of the district for 15 days.

There had been a large-scale cutting of trees due to the increasing demand for these trees by the tobacco industry.
