TAXILA: Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider stressed the need for expediting establishment of sub campuses of Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University, Punjab University and University of Engineering and Technology in different tehsils of Attock.

He was presiding over a meeting to review progress on proposed sub campuses of these universities in which the sub campus of Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University would be established in Attock city, Punjab University sub campus in Fatehjang while University of Engineering and Technology sub campus in Jand.

He expressed the hope that work on the sub campus of the University of Engineering and Technology Taxila at Jand would be initiated in September this year.

Attock district would embark on a new era of development and prosperity as the work on a number of development projects, including the establishment of sub campuses of universities and health facilities would be initiated during the current fiscal year.

He said all resources would be utilised for the welfare of the people of Attock district. He directed to complete the campus of Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University at the earliest.

He said the Attock Campus project should be operational in the shortest possible time to provide the facility of higher education to the residents of Attock and suburban areas.
