PTI puts Mansehra leaders on notice over criticism

MANSEHRA: Differences emerged in the Hazara chapter of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf as district president of the party Sardar Mohammad Khan served show cause notices on two local leaders for criticising adviser to the chief minister on tourism Zahid Chanzeb and MPA Akramullah Khan.

In the notices issued on behalf of central PTI leader Azam Khan Swati, Mr Sardar asked Shahid Rafique and Ajmal Khan Swati to explain their respective position about “using abusive language” against Mr Zahid and Mr Akramullah during a public meeting in Battal area last week.

In the notices, the PTI district president said Mr Shahid and Mr Ajmal should explain in writing in the next seven days why disciplinary action shouldn’t be taken against them on the issue.

He added that senior PTI leader Azam Swati had ordered the issuance of those notices.

Shahid, Ajmal get seven days for response

In the Battle public meeting, Mr Shahid and Ajmal also allegedly criticised the PTI’s central and provincial parliamentary boards for “ignoring deserving aspirants for the Feb 8 general elections and awarding poll tickets to hypocrites and those who didn’t render sacrifices for the party during difficult times” following the arrest of party founder Imran Khan.

KILLED: Two people were killed and three injured when a mini-truck fell into a deep ravine in the Loter area of Upper Kohistan district on Monday.

The Rescue 1122 workers shifted the injured to the civil hospital in Dasu, where doctors pronounced Amir Nawaz and Hameedullah dead and handed over their bodies to the respective families after fulfilling formalities.

The injured, including Shah Khalid, Hameedullah and Murad Khan, were referred to the Ayub Medical Complex Abbottabad where the condition of one of them was stated to be critical.
