Feeling hot? Plant more trees!

This is regarding the article “Feeling hot? Plant more trees!” by Ambreen Arshad (YW, May 25th). The article provided a concise, yet thorough guide on tree planting. The writer focused not only on the scientific reasons behind the importance of trees in reducing global warming, but also on the practical aspect of actually planting trees. The article effectively outlined all the necessary steps for planting a tree.

However, one aspect I noticed is the need for government initiatives in addressing global temperature reduction. While individuals can certainly contribute by planting trees, widespread awareness and action require governmental involvement. Without such initiatives or awareness campaigns, common people may not recognise the benefits of tree planting or be motivated to participate.

Stay fresh and fragrant

This is regarding the article “Stay fresh and fragrant” by Mirha Asif (YW, May 25th). It couldn’t have come at a better time, considering the scorching heat of summer these days. It’s important for all of us to prioritise our hygiene and avoid venturing out during the hottest parts of the day. Excessive sweating can lead to dehydration and even heatstroke.

Another important aspect the article emphasised was the significance of personal hygiene, such as taking regular baths and using fragrances. It’s not just about comfort; it’s also about our well-being.
