KARACHI: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan on Sunday launched a complaint centre where the people could call round the clock to share their grievances about different issues which, the party said, it would try to resolve by taking them up with relevant authorities through its legislators and senior leaders.

Addressing the ceremony, senior MQM-P leader Mustafa Kamal called it the first of its kind initiative by any political party across the country.

“The people from all across Pakistan can call our call centre anytime in the day to share their problem and issues they’re facing due to negligence of authorities,” he said.”Our centre after receiving their complaints will forward it relevant party segment and our elected parliamentarians would take it up with the relevant authorities.”

“Similarly our parliamentarians from Karachi will directly receive calls at the centre at designated times and put every efforts to resolve them. The people can call our toll-free number 021111786021 anytime in the day.”

He said the party would also be able to run accountability system through the newly introduced technology based system and even it would hold its legislators accountable on the basis of their performances.
