Abducted FC man released in DI Khan
DERA ISMAIL KHAN: A Frontier Corps (FC) soldier, who was abducted by unknown militants, was released after a ‘chigha party’ (a group of volunteers) came into action to search for the abductee, here on Sunday.
According to police, FC soldier Saddam Kundi had come home on leave when he was abducted by unknown militants.
Later, a chigha party of volunteers, equipped with weapons, raised alarm and started search for the abducted man in the area. Following the efforts of the volunteers, the abductors were forced to free the solider.
MINOR GIRL AMONG FOUR KILLED: Four people, including a minor girl and a security official, were killed in different firing incidents, a district police spokesman said on Sunday.
He said a security man namely Najibullah was martyred as unknown armed miscreants opened fire on him at Hathala-Kulachi Road within the limits of Hathala police station.
According to the police spokesman, the security official had come home on leave.
Similarly, four armed suspects shot and killed two friends who were watching a volleyball match in the Paniyala area within the jurisdiction of Nawab Shaheed police station.
A police official said that Muhammad Gul lodged a report in Nawab Shaheed Police Station that his 24-year-old son Shoaib Marwat and his friend, Alian Mansoor Khel, 23, were watching a volleyball match at Toyay Pani area of Paniyala.
Four armed accused including Anwar and Amir, residents of Mastikhel, came there and shot dead his son and his friend. The attackers fled the scene after committing the crime.
Meanwhile, a five-year-old girl was killed as a result of firing of opponents over a land dispute in Waanda Noorak area of the Nawab Shaheed police station.
A police official said that the accused namely Noor Muhammad, Fazal Muhammad and Khan Muhammad, along with their father Gul Muhammad, entered the house of Rahmat Ullah Marwat and opened fire, killing five-year-old Muzalfa Bibi on the spot.
Police registered separate cases and started investigation.
