Snooker: Rambel on course for last 16

KARACHI, March 23: NWFP Cup champion, Rambel Gul, on Thursday strengthened his claim of making it to the knock out pre-quarterfinal from group ‘H’ when he subdued ninth seed Imtiaz Tipu of Punjab 4-1 to chalk up his third straight win in the 31st National snooker championship.

Qualifier Rambel after dropping the opener 20-57, never allowed Tipu to settle by picking up next four frames 64-35, 59-39, 74-29, 58-1 to earn full points.
