RAWALPINDI: Two women were allegedly raped in the garrison city, police said on Wednesday.

In the first incident, a woman was sexually assaulted by an unidentified person in a women’s hostel on Seventh Road.

According to the FIR, the victim alleged that she was preparing breakfast in her hostel room when an unknown armed person entered her room and locked it from inside.

She further claimed that the intruder threatened her and hit her with a pistol butt and raped her. She alleged that the suspect also stole her purse which contained her mobile phone, Rs5,000 cash, ATM card and CNIC.

New Town police have registered a case against the suspect.

In another incident, a woman was allegedly gang-raped by four suspects in Gulzar-i-Quaid.

The victim lodged an FIR with Airport police, saying that she had been married since 2021 and had a three-year-old daughter.

She said she became friends with the main suspect some six months ago and they started dating. She said the suspect telephoned her on Sunday and asked her to come to his house. The suspect told her that his two friends were coming to pick her from her residence.

She further claimed that she left with his friends who drove her to an undisclosed place where the main suspect and another friend of his were waiting.

She alleged that she was raped by all four men and later threw her out of the house the next morning. She said she then went to the police station to lodge an FIR.

Meanwhile another woman was allegedly gang-raped in the limits of Wah Saddar Police station on Wednesday, police sources said.

According to the police, the woman reported to police that she required a house on rent and contacted a local property dealer who took her to a house to not only see the premises but finalise the rent contract.

When they reached the house, the property dealer and his two friends raped her one by one and later threw her on G.T. Road.

Wah Saddar police first took her to a hospital for examination, which confirmed the sexual assault and then registered a case against the suspects.
