Man gets life imprisonment in Shangla murder case

SHANGLA: The district and sessions judge of Shangla, Nasrullah Khan Gandapur sentenced here on Wednesday an accused to life imprisonment and fined him Rs200,000 for killing a woman and injuring her husband in 2021 in Banjar area of Alpuri tehsil of the district.

According to the counsel for the complainant party, Noor Khaista had shot dead Shakeela Bibi and injured her husband on October 9, 2021, and the police station concerned registered an FIR against the accused under relevant sections of law.

After completion of trial in the case, the court announced the verdict and sentenced the accused Noor Khaista in the murder and attempted murder case.

5 PROFITEERS SENT TO JAIL :Assistant Commissioner, Chakisar Tehsil, Mohammad Hamid Saddiqui conducted raids in Gunagar and Sarkool bazaars and sent five shopkeepers to jail for overcharging the customers and selling substandard foods items.

The assistant commissioner, along with police personnel, checked the shops and businesses in bazaars for display of price lists and inspected the foods quality. During the checking, he found five shopkeepers overcharging the customers, who were booked for the offence and sent to jail.
