GUJAR KHAN: Residents of Gujar Khan tehsil continue to be deprived of their valuables by thieves and robbers in the limits of Gujar Khan, Mandra and Jatli police stations.

Ameer Zaheer, a resident of the Mandra area, reported to police that his electric store was broke opened by unknown burglars at night and when he opened his shop in the morning, he discovered that items including five batteries worth Rs175,000; eight fans worth Rs70,000; 10 invertors worth Rs70,000; nine bundles of electric and solar wires worth Rs200,000; and other electric devices worth Rs115,000 were stolen.

Asim Sarang, a resident of Mandra, reported to police that his rickshaw worth Rs120,000 was lifted by unknown thieves.

He said that his rickshaw was the only source of livelihood for his family.

Tayyab Mahmood, a resident of Hosang village reported to Jatli police that his two goats, valued around Rs100,000, were stolen from outside his house in broad daylight by unknown thieves.

Nadeem Akhtar, a resident of Chakwal, reported to Jatli police that his motorbike worth Rs35,000 was stolen from outside a mosque situated on Sukho Road.

Mohammad Zohaib, a resident of Harnal village, told Mandra police that sanitary material worth Rs250,000 was stolen by unknown thieves from his under-construction house.

Danyal Tanveer, a resident of Jairo Ratiyal village, reported to Gujar Khan police that he was offered a lift by a man who asked address of a restaurant from him. He said that he accepted the offer and boarded his car, in which four persons were sitting. He said that after crossing Gujar Khan city, the persons robbed him of Rs250,000 cash, a CNIC, and an arms licence at gunpoint, and threw him out of the running car.

Arshad Mahmood, a resident of Ward No 6 reported to Gujar Khan police that his CD-70 bike worth Rs40,000 had been stolen from outside his house.

Saqib Ali, a resident of Ward No 3 reported to Gujar Khan police that he parked his Honda 125 bike outside Bangial Plaza on Tehsil Road at 9am and when returned at 2pm, his bike had been lifted.

The residents have urged Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to appoint efficient police officers in Gujar Khan and Rawalpindi to control the crime rate.
