Three ‘dacoits’ held after encounters

SUKKUR: Sukkur police on Saturday claimed to have arrested three dacoits after having wounded them in encounters that took place in three different areas in the district on Saturday.

Police officials said that police teams of A-Section, Airport and New Pind police stations wounded the three outlaws during encounters in the areas of Garamgodi, Bachal Shah link road and New Pind railway crossing and arrested them along with weapons.

They said that the criminals were identified as Asif Ali Kakepoto, Asad Ali Shah and Kashif Shah, who were wanted by police in several cases of heinous crimes such as thefts, robberies and dacoities. They said that they had shifted the wounded outlaws to hospital for treatment and were checking their criminal record at different police stations.
