Use, sale of toy horns banned in Islamabad

Welcome

ISLAMABAD: The deputy commissioner (DC) has imposed a ban on the sale and use of pressure and toy horns.

According to details, the office of the deputy commissioner received complaints from field officers and members of the public that the use of pressure and toy horns, especially children, during Independence Day celebrations was causing nuisance.

“It has been observed that noise caused by the pressure, toy horns and silencers is unwanted, unpleasant and annoying, which causes hazardous noise pollution,” an official said.

Aside from the ban, field staff were directed to confiscate any horns found and impose heavy fines on those selling or using them.

The deputy commissioner has also appealed to citizens to avoid using pressure horns.
