Charsadda ambush claims two lives
CHARSADDA: Two persons were killed and four others injured when a moving vehicle was ambushed here on Monday.
The police and locals said the deceased and the injured were close relatives.
One of the injured, Mohammad Hayat told the Sardheri police that he along with his two brothers and relatives was going back to his village after appearing in a court case when their rivals opened indiscriminate fire on them.
He said the firing left his brother, Rizwan and relative, Riazuddin, dead on the spot, while he along with his other brother, Jibran, and relatives Alauddin, and Rahamdin suffered serious injuries.
The injured and the deceased were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital, Charsadda. The seriously injured persons were later shifted to the Lady Reading Hospital in Peshawar.
The police registered a murder case against the attackers and started making efforts to arrest them.
