Coal miner killed in Duki

QUETTA: A worker lost his life on Friday after being trapped in a mudslide inside a mine in the Duki coal mine field.

Levies officials said Said Muhammad was working around 200 feet underground in the coal mine, when a massive portion of the mud fell on him, burying him under the debris.

Soon after receiving information about the incident, local authorities launched a rescue operation with the help of coal miners and recovered the body of the victim and shifted it to the district hospital.

Said Muhammad was an Afghan national and his body was sent to his native town.
