ANP blames KP govt for resurgence of militancy

SHANGLA: Awami National Party (ANP) leader Amir Haider Hoti has said that unnecessary measures of KP government caused resurgence of militancy in the province.

While speaking to journalists at Aloch Puran after attending the ANP workers’ convention, Mr Hoti said he had endorsed every effort against injustices and rights of the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Balochistan.

To a question, he said that the present KP government was not a true representative of the people and it had only one-point agenda of getting PTI founder released from jail. He said that PTI ruled the province for 11 years but its leadership had failed to secure province’s legitimate rights and it had no authority over the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa resources.

ANP leader alleged that the development of the province had been stopped; the authority given in the 18th Amendment was not being implemented.

Former KP chief minister advised the provincial government to pay attention to resolve the basic issues of the province and take effective steps to curb militancy.
