Iesco to implement Punjab govt’s orders to provide relief to consumers

ISLAMABAD: As per the orders of the Punjab government, Islamabad Electric Supply Company (Iesco) will provide relief of Rs14 per unit to consumers who used 201 to 500 electricity units in August.

Residents of Islamabad will also get the relief as they also fall under the jurisdiction of Iesco, despite being in the federally administered area.

According to spokesperson Raja Asim, for consumers under domestic tariff batches one to five, who have already paid their electricity bills, the excess amount will be adjusted in the September bills.

“For consumers in batches one to five who have not yet paid their August bills, revised bills with Rs14 per unit relief will be delivered to their homes. Bills for consumers in batches six to 15 are being printed according to the relief announced by the Punjab government and will be delivered to their homes,” he aded.

Mr Asim said due date for bill payments had also been extended and the updated bills would be uploaded on Iesco’s website at ‘www.iesco.com.pk’.
