Charity launches plantation drive

KARACHI: The Chhipa Foundation has launched a nationwide plantation campaign, aiming to plant one million saplings across the country.

According to a press release issued here on Thursday, Ramzan Chhipa, the patron-in-chief of the Chhipa Foundation, stressed that the issue of tree scarcity is a matter of survival for Pakistan, warning that failure to act may result in the country becoming a desert soon.

He urged citizens from all walks of life, particularly the youth and students, to join the campaign and plant saplings.

He expressed his unwavering commitment to the initiative, stressing that the foundation’s tree-planting efforts would not cease after reaching the one-million mark. “Instead, the organisation will continue its plantation campaigns relentlessly until Pakistan is transformed into a completely green and sustainable nation.”
