Three sons kill father over inheritance row

TOBA TEK SINGH: Three young brothers killed their father in Madina Town police station area of Faisalabad on Thursday over a property dispute.

Reports said Nawazish Ali (60) was returning home on his motorcycle after purchasing grocery from a store in Chak 199-RB, Guttwala, when his three sons -- Tauseef, Ateeq and Nabeel -- opened indiscriminate fire on him. Ali died before getting any medical assistance.

Police said Touseef had been arrested while search for others was on. Police said the deceased had recently given property to his sons but they were demanding more than due share.

TRADER MURDERED: A former Mian Channu grain market commission agents association general secretary and a known trader, Mehr Nasir Hayat Hiraj, was murdered outside his shop on Thursday.

Scores of people followed the attacker and arrested him. Police immediately bundled him into a van and saved him from the mob demanding his custody.

Reasons behind the murder could not be known till this report was filed.
