Man stabs tenant to death

KARACHI: A young tenant was killed allegedly by his landlord in Moosa Colony on Saturday evening.

Gulberg SHO Faisal Rafiq said that a scuffle broke out between them over some issue. The suspect took out scissors and stabbed 25-year-old Ali Basit who suffered critical injuries.

He was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where doctors declared him dead.

The officer said that exact motive which led to the murder could not be ascertained immediately as the suspect had fled.

Arms dealer held, 10 pistols recovered

Police on Saturday claimed to have arrested an illegal arms dealer and recovered 10 pistols from his custody.

Speaking at a press conference at his office, SSP Faizan Ali said that

acting on a tip off, the police party conducted an action at Site area and arrested the suspect, Humayun Khan and recovered 10 9-mm pistols from his custody.

The suspect had arrived in Karachi in a passenger bus from Durra Adam Khel in KP. During interrogation, the suspect revealed that he worked for three illegal arms dealers in Durra Adam Khel for the last two years and had brought several arms and ammunition to Karachi.

He was arrested by Hatri police in Hyderabad and sent to a prison as well in the recent past.
