Material Matters at Shakir Ali Museum

LAHORE: A group show of sculpture and ceramics titled Material Matters is attracting visual art lovers at Shakir Ali Museum.

The show, organised by the Pakistan National Council of Arts (PNCA), Shakir Ali Museum, and the Art for World Peace, has been curated by Samra Cheema and Amna Masood, two visual artists.

Material Matters celebrates the tactile and expressive qualities of sculpture and ceramics. This show brings together a diverse group of artists, who push the boundaries of their mediums, exploring themes of form, texture, and meaning.

More than 15 artists participated in the art show, including Jamil Hussain, Isma Hussain, Neelam Shaikh, Mirza Kabir Ahmed, Urhamish Ansari, Naheed Zaheer, Irfan Abdullah, Muhammad Atif Qureshi, Muhammad Arif Qureshi, Qaiser Shenwari, Munnaza Baqir, Faisal Rehman and others.

Prof. Dr. Samina Nasim, Principal of the College of Art & Design, University of the Punjab, was the chief guest of the show.

Artist Talk was also a part of the event, where Mansoor Zubari, Jamil Hussain and Muhammad Atif Khan spoke.

A large number of artists, students, teachers and intellectuals attended and enjoyed the event.
