KP govt failed to control terrorism: ANP
PESHAWAR: Awami National Party (ANP) has said the Khyber Pakhtunkhwah government has failed to overcome acts of terrorism in the province.
In a statement here on Tuesday, ANP provincial spokesperson Arsalaan Khan Nazim said that Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf remained in power in the province for three terms but it could not resolve real issues of people.
He alleged that the PTI government mercilessly misused provincial resources for its political interests. He said that government’s priorities were focused on political gimmicks rather than resolving issues.
The ANP spokesperson also condemned the behaviour of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur. He said that Gandapur’s statements against journalists and political opponents were shameful.
He alleged that the incompetence of provincial government and lack of seriousness caused harm to the province on all fronts. He said that Gandapur, as a chief executive, was exacerbating problems of the province.
He stated that the province was facing a reign of terror and bad governance owing to the failure of PTI government. He said that government should prioritise the welfare of people rather than pursuing political vendettas.
The ANP spokesperson urged the government to take pity on the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa instead of focusing on releasing a single prisoner.
