Rahmatul-lil-Alameen moot held in Lower Dir, Dera

LOWER DIR/DERA ISMAIL KHAN: The youth affairs and education departments along with the tehsil municipal administration arranged a ‘Rahmatul-lil-Alameen Conference’ at the district assembly hall here on Wednesday.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mohammad Arif Khan, District Police Officer Saleem Abbas Kulachi, area elders, teachers, students and others attended the event. The schools students took part in Husn e Qirat competition, Naat and quiz contests and got applause from the audience. Appreciation certificates and cash prizes were distributed among the position holders on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC asked the Muslims to strictly follow the footprints of the HolyProphetMuhammad (PBUH). He said that life of the last Prophet of Allah was the best example for all mankind.

He said that teachers and parents played an important role in the education and nurturing of children. Mr Khan stressed that the parents and teachers should guide the children according to the examples set by the Prophet of Islam.

QIRAT, NAAT COMPETITION: The district administration of Dera Ismail Khan: also organized the Rahmatul-lil-Alameen (PBUH) conference.

The event was chaired by the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Adnan Jameel. Officials of the district administration, local scholars, teachers and students attended the moot.

The conference featured competition of Qirat and Naat recitation. In Qirat competition, Qari Mohammad Shafiq secured first position, Abdul Qadeer remained second and Mohammad Tayyib got third position.

In Naat competition, Abdul Hadi got first position, Mohammad Qureshi was second and Ghaniya Mehak grabbed third position.

Speaking on the occasion, the ADC said that these competitions were held in connection with Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) for encouraging students to showcase their talent.

Qari Khalil Ahmed also spoke about the significance of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)’s life and emphasised that the month of Rabi-ul-Awwal was highly significant as it marked the birth of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).

At the end of the conference, shields and certificates were distributed among the position holders of both the competitions.
