The gravity of carelessness

This is regarding the story “The gravity of carelessness” by Aqsa Shoaib (YW, July 20). The article was nicely written and emphasised the importance of paying proper attention to our parents’ instructions, especially when they leave us alone at home. Even a little carelessness by us can result in dire consequences. The famous quotation “Prevention is better than cure” perfectly illustrates the scenario depicted in the story.

I am glad Young World publishes stories that teach children how their irrational acts could lead to dangerous situations, helping them understand the value of caution and responsibility in their daily lives.

The world of rocket launches

This is regarding the website review of “The world of rocket launches” by Asif Ali (YW, July 27).

I visited the site and found all the information quite comprehensive. The website focuses on rocket launches, and I can confidently say that those who love rockets will enjoy knowing and reading about all the rocket launches. The topic is hardly talked about and I would suggest to the YW team to include more articles and stories about space and the universe.

Tune in, turn down

This is regarding the advice “Tune in, turn down” by Marvi (YW, July 20). Like everything, headphones have both benefits and downsides. The important thing is to see whether the benefits outweigh the downsides or vice versa, and to maintain a balance between the two.

The writer acknowledged that while one cannot completely avoid using headphones, it is crucial to use them carefully and sensibly. The article also mentioned precautions, which I found practical.

Additionally, one should be well-informed regarding the use of gadgets or devices like headphones, to prevent damaging one’s hearing.

Listening through headphones can be an enjoyable experience, making us feel immersed in the moment. However, it’s important to remember the potential long-term damage to our hearing.

The article, “Tune in, turn down” by Marvi highlighted all the essential details about headphone usage and the risks we often overlook. Headphones are here to stay, but we should use them responsibly. By being mindful of our listening habits and taking simple precautions, we can enjoy sound without compromising our health.
