CHARSADDA: The dilapidated condition of government girls high school’s building in Shah Afzalabad area is posing serious threat to the lives of over 500 students and 22 staffers.

Being the only high school for girls in the area, the poor school building is also facing shortage of eight classrooms. The parents and local residents demanded immediate reconstruction or repair of the building otherwise they would file an FIR against the authorities concerned in case of any untoward incident. They threatened to move high court against education department if their demand was not entertained.

The school building was constructed in 1994 and it was given the status of middle school in 2006. Later, it was upgraded to a high school level.
