Sindh police to set up training institute in Malir

KARACHI: A police training institute will be established in Malir to provide specialised training to law enforcement personnel to address the challenges of terrorism.

A decision to this effect was made by Inspector General of Police Ghulam Nabi Memon at a recent meeting held at the Central Police Office.

It was decided in the meeting that a “Security and Emergency Training Institute” would be established. Special courses focusing on counterterrorism, intelligence, defusing bombs, rescue services, and other relevant fields will be offered at the proposed institute.

The IGP said it is essential to provide modern, high-quality training to all divisions and wings of the Sindh police, given the demands of the contemporary era and prevailing circumstances.
