11 DCs reshuffled

LAHORE: The Punjab government transferred and posted 11 deputy commissioners (DC) in different districts on Wednesday.

DG Khan Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mehr Shahid Zaman has been transferred and posted as chief operating officer of TEVTA, while his predecessor Qurat-ul-Ain Memon was posted as Muzaffargarh DC.

Specialized healthcare and medical education department Additional Secretary Muhammad Usman Khalid has been transferred and posted as DG Khan DC.

Gujranwala DC Muhammad Tariq Qureshi has been transferred and directed to report to the S&GAD for further orders. Chief Minister’s OfficeDeputy Secretary Naveed Ahmad has been transferred and posted as Gujranwala DC.

Planning and Development (P&D) Board, Punjab, Additional Secretary Imrana Touqir has been transferred and posted as Vehari DC, while her predecessor Syed Asif Hussain Shah was transferred and posted as deputy chief executive officer, Punjab Social Protection Authority, against a vacant post.

Bahawalpur DC Zaheer Anwar has been transferred and posted as P&D Board, Punjab, additional secretary.

Sports and Youth Affairs Additional Secretary Farhan Farooq was transferred and posted as Bahawalpur DC.Parks and Horticulture Authority Additional Director General Safi Ullah Khan has been transferred and posted as Chiniot DC against a vacant post.

Muzaffargarh DC Mian Usman Ali has been transferred and posted as Sports and Youth Affairs additional secretary.

DENOTIFIED: The Punjab government on Wednesday denotified standing committees of the cabinet on finance and development, as well as legislative business and privatisation, to streamline cabinet’s business.

It is learnt that the both standing committees were denotified in line with the decision of Punjab cabinet taken in its March 14 and Sept 16 meetings.

All decisions that require government’s approval will be brought before the cabinet, say the two notifications.
