Two held after tortured body of missing trader found

LARKANA: Police arrested two suspects on charges of murder after owner of a motorcycle showroom was found dead in Arija Pherhywara bypass area on Friday.

Gada Hussain Jatoi, 40, went missing from No-7 Chungi on Thursday and relatives feared he had been kidnapped but after 12 hours, his tortured body was found in the jurisdiction of Arija Pherhywara police station. The victim’s relatives were informed about the body, which was transported to Chandka Medical College Hospital, said police officials.

Abdul Sami Jatoi and Ayaz Jatoi, brothers of the victim, told journalists that Gada Hussain went out after two men called him on phone. After some time, the two men handed over the victim’s motorcycle to his relatives and informed them that Gada Hussain was lying unconscious in the bypass area, they said.

“We informed Waleed police station on Thursday night about our brother and shared with them his last location which was near Gul Mohammad Khoso village on the outskirts of Larkana city,” they said.

On Friday, police informed them about their brother’s tortured body, they said, adding that they had no clue who could do this to their brother as the family had no enmity with anyone.

A spokesman for Larkana police on Friday dismissed reports of the victim’s abduction and said the deceased was friends with the two men and had accompanied them after their call.

Both the suspects had been rounded up and the dead body had been recovered after their disclosures during interrogation, he said, adding more facts would come to light after the post mortem report and further investigation, he said.
