All rabble-rousers must face action
THIS is with reference to the report ‘Govt warns defiant PTI not to test its patience’ (Oct 6). The matter of fact is that the cultist party is also testing the patience of all the people who are fed up with its persistent approach towards somehow keep the country destabilised by spreading violence and anarchy.
In fact, whenever the country seems to be getting back on track towards political and financial stability, the cult does its best to reverse the trend.
Now, with the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit meeting scheduled in Islamabad this month, the party and its followers are at it again.
Hosting this moot is not only an honour for the country, but it is also a significant diplomatic success for Pakistan, which had been isolated for some years because its diplomatic relationships even with friendly countries were strained owing to irresponsible statements, rhetoric and actions of those in power between 2018 and 2022.
Instead of welcoming the foreign guests, leaders of the political cult are hell-bent on tarnishing the image of the country. With a consistent history of such actions by the party and its leadership, the authorities should consider some decisive action to deal with the rabble-rousers.
