Body of missing teen found in sack

GUJRAT: The body of a 14-year-old boy, who went missing around 18 days ago, was found in a sack lying in an open area near boys school at Kasib Wazeed village in Tanda police precincts on Wednesday.

A local farmer, Yasir Ali, lodged a complaint with the police stating that his son Rehman Ali had left the house to bring fodder for the animals on Sept 22 and did not return since then.

He accused two men Hashim and Shamas and four other unidentified suspects of kidnapping his son after which the police lodged a case under section 363 of Pakistan Penal Code on Oct 1 and started investigation.

However, police said the body of the missing boy was found from a sack thrown in a ditch under the trees on Wednesday morning.

A team of Punjab Forensic Science Agency collected evidence from the crime scene whereas police shifted the body to Aziz Bhatti Shaheed Teaching Hospital where doctors later handed it over to the heirs after conducting autopsy.

Sources in police and the victim’s family said some close kin of the suspects were detained who had revealed that suspect Hashim killed the boy.

They said in the light of interrogation, police recovered the body that had been reduced to bones as the suspects might had thrown acid to eliminate the proof.

It is learnt that section 302 of Pakistan Penal Code has also been added to the already registered case.

Further investigation is under way.

MURDER: Two persons were gunned down by their rival group when they had gone to a case hearing at the additional district and sessions court near Chot Dheeran in Malakwal police precincts, Mandi Bahauddin, on Wednesday.

Reports said Taimoor Gondal and Arfan were going to the court in connection with a murder case of Ijaz Shah, a former general councillor of Maidh Pargana union council, who had been killed some 30 months ago.

The suspect, Riaz Shah, along with his accomplices opened firing on Taimoor and Arfan killing them on the spot as all the assailants fled the scene.

Police reached the spot and shifted the bodies to Malakwal Tehsil Headquarter Hospital where doctors conducted the autopsy and handed over the bodies to the heirs.

Police said an old enmity was the reason behind the double murder incident.
