Rally staged in Quetta for recovery of kidnapped tribesmen

QUETTA: Members of the Bugti Rabita Committee staged a demonstration on Sunday against the bandits of kacha area of Sindh, demanding recovery of abducted Bugti tribesmen.

Members of Bugti Rabita Committee led by Dr Hayat Bugti, Haider Khan Bugti and Fareed Bugti gathered in front of the Quetta Press Club.

Speakers at the demonstration demanded that the government immediately secure the release of two young Bugti tribesmen.

They warned that if their demands were not met, the Bugti tribesmen would expand their protests.

They said the kacha area bandits have kidnapped two young men of the Bugti tribe. They are now demanding Rs50 million as ransom for their release.

“It is a well-known fact that there is a bandit regime in Sindh, and unrest arises whenever these individuals occupy high positions,” the protesters said.

They urged the government to act on behalf of their abducted Bugti members, noting that these bandits have the support of high-ranking officials.

They said that they would meet Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti to discuss the situation.

However, they added, if the issue remains unresolved, the Bugti tribes will unite to recover their kidnapped young men.
