‘AI-driven solutions revolutionising businesses’

ISLAMABAD: Artificial Intelligence (AI) experts have started implementing innovative techniques in highly traditional sectors like agriculture to boost output and protect produce from changing weather patterns and pest attacks.

Talking to the media, TenX Chief Executive Officer Qazafi Qayyum has said that AI can help overcome business challenges and drive growth for local IT companies in the global markets.

“In contrast to a general impression that AI is only related to the defence sector or some advanced industries, many revolutionary start-ups are helping farmers improve their yields by adopting AI,” he added. He suggested that Pakistani IT companies must focus on exporting locally developed AI tools.

He highlighted that companies can drive innovation with AI and it’s usage through blending data analytics, software engineering, and cloud services.

He said locally developed AI tools helped commercial entities, from banks to export-based industries.

AI can help drive business growth through data analytics across industries like telecommunications, financial services, government, and manufacturing.

Mr Qayyum gave the example of a Pakistani bank that has over 700 branches in the country, and after multiple mergers and acquisitions, customer data became scattered, impacting the bank’s ability to provide unified and relevant services.

He suggested that Pakistani IT companies should focus on global markets with AI solutions to enhance exports and increase the standards of the IT industry.
