NIC selects start-ups for incubation programme
PESHAWAR: National Incubation Centre (NIC) Peshawar has opened its doors to welcome 25 promising start-ups for the 12th cohort of its incubation programme after a rigorous selection process out of the hundreds of applications received.
The orientation session for newly-inducted cohort took place on Wednesday and was a vibrant event filled with excitement and energy, said a press release issues here. The start-ups were welcomed by Asim Ishaq Khan, project director of NIC Peshawar, alongside key implementation partners: William Bao Bean from ORBIT Start-ups, Dr Murtaza from Sybrid, Rohma Labib from Accelerate Prosperity, and Dr Usman Ghani from IM Sciences.
During the session, the NIC Peshawar team introduced the startups to the programme’s offerings, including mentorship, resources, and networking opportunities. Expectations for start-ups were outlined, setting the stage for a transformative journey in innovation and entrepreneurship.
The 12th cohort comprises start-ups from a diverse range of sectors, including cutting-edge technologies, Ed-Tech, HealthTech, and Agri-Tech. This cohort also marks a milestone with the highest number of female founders to date.
One of the session’s key moments was the interaction between NIC Peshawar’s alumni start-ups and the new cohort. Alumni founders shared their experiences, success stories, and lessons learned, providing valuable insights and encouragement for the newly inducted start-ups.
