Lesco SDO removed for overbilling

LAHORE: The Lahore Electric Supply Company (Lesco) has removed its Ichhra SDO Salahuddin (assistant manager operations) from service for overbilling and misbehaving with consumers.

On the other hand, the Lesco management has also demoted the Kasur rural area Executive Engineer (EXEN) Muhammad Amin to the post of SDO on account of poor performance and other disciplinary issues, according to a spokesman.

DISCONNECTED: The Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited teams on Thursday disconnected 77 more illegal connections, imposing fines amounting to Rs2.2 million.

In Lahore, the team severed 14 illegal connections, imposing fines totaling Rs0.51 million. In Gujranwala, two connections were cut off, with a fine of Rs 0.05m imposed for gas theft. In Faisalabad, four connections were terminated, with a fine of Rs 0.03m.

The Sheikhupura team disconnected one connection and imposed a fine of Rs0.97 million. The Multan region saw nine disconnections for illegal gas use and 18 for the use of gas compressors. In Sahiwal, three connections were terminated for illegal usage, while Bahawalpur’s team disconnected one illegal connection and another seven for compressor use.
