Man fractures wife’s arms, legs

SARGODHA: A man allegedly fractured his wife’s arms and legs for demanding pocket money for their school going children at Zamywala village in the suburbs of Kalurkot, Bhakkar district.

According to reports, the suspect, Bashir, exchanged hot words with his wife Zahra Bibi when she asked him to give Rs10 as pocket money to their children, who were going to school.

After the quarrel, Bashir’s wife went to her brother’s house, but the suspect followed her there and attacked her with an axe, fracturing her arms and legs.

The woman was admitted to hospital and her brother submitted a written complaint to the police, along with the medical certificate.

However, the Kalurkot police are neither registering a case nor arresting the suspect, her brother alleged.

The victim appealed to Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to take notice of the incident and ensure justice was done.

She said her husband is an employee of a police officer, who is protecting him, using his influence and pressurising her for compromise.

She also appealed to Sargodha regional police officer (RPO) and Bhakkar district police officer (DPO) to ensure arrest of the suspect.
