KEMU holds 22nd JCAT exam

LAHORE: The King Edward Medical University (KEMU) conducted its 22nd Joint Centralized Admission Test (JCAT) on Sunday for postgraduate trainee inductions across Punjab’s public sector institutions.

KEMU Vice-Chancellor Mahmood Ayyaz visited the examination halls at Punjab University’s Examination Centre to review arrangements. Following instructions from the chief minister, the exam was held simultaneously in Lahore and Multan to accommodate the large number of candidates from south Punjab.

According to a KEMU spokesperson, 4,971 candidates, including 128 foreign applicants, were registered at both centres. The exams were conducted across 11 halls in Lahore and seven in Multan by the examination departments of KEMU and Nishtar Medical University. Special provisions, including Rescue 1122 support, were made for disabled and ill candidates.

Results would be available on KEMU’s official website within 48 hours.
