Anti-vehicle theft team recovers 17 motorcycles

SARGODHA: The anti-vehicle lifting personnel of the police arrested two motorcycle thieves and recovered 17 stolen motorcycles from them.

Police officials say the investigation has been expanded to identify further suspects involved in the operation.

DRUG PEDDLERS: In an alleged encounter with drug peddlers, Sargodha police arrested suspect Bilal alias Balu, who sustained injuries and was taken to the hospital.

The incident occurred when the police attempted to arrest the suspects and the drug dealers opened fire. While two suspects fled, police have intensified raids to bring them into custody.

ROBBERY: Armed robbers shot and injured motorcyclist, identified as 52-year-old Muqrab Iqbal, during a robbery in Sillanwali’s Sultan Sikandar Colony.

Iqbal was taken to THQ Hospital by Rescue 1122. Police launched an investigation into the incident.

TORTURE: An influential landlord in the Jhal Chakkian area allegedly filmed himself torturing a citizen, Muhammad Yar, on suspicion of motorcycle theft. The video went viral on social media. Police arrested the landlord.

District Police Officer Dr Asad Ijaz Malhi stated that the authorities would ensure justice for Muhammad Yar, pledging that violence and vigilantism will not be tolerated.

He condemned the trend of landlords using their influence to administer unlawful punishments and publicly flaunting these actions.
