The participants carried banners and placards, chanting slogans against Indian atrocities in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, according to a news release.

The demonstrators strongly condemned the violence and brutality against the Kashmiri people and reaffirmed their determination to support their right to self-determination. They termed Oct 27, 1947, as a dark day in history, and marked 77 years since Indian forces entered the State of Jammu and Kashmir, initiating decades of represion.
