OKARA: Renala Khurd Saddar police have registered a case against three men for allegedly raping a 14-year-old boy at 1/1RA village on Tuesday.

As per the first information report (FIR), lodged by the victim’s father, Muhammad Imran, a resident of 1/1RA village, three days back, one of the suspects, from the same village, lured his son, a student of Class IX, on the pretext of playing video game, and raped him in the fields.

Later, two other suspects, of the same village, arrived on the spot, who also raped the boy, the complainant said.

Imran, who worked in Muzaffarabad, was informed about the incident by his family, returned to the village on Monday and lodged a complaint with the police.

The police registered a case against the three suspects under sections 375 A and 376 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).

LESCO: Electricity thieves and defaulters allegedly attacked a team of Lahore Electric Supply Company (Lesco), injuring one of the officials, at Sheniwal village in Dipalpur tehsil on Tuesday.

As per the FIR an inspection team of Lesco went to Sheniwal village to remove a meter due to non-payment of bills.

However, the team found that a village resident, Mazhar Shah, was stealing electricity from the main supply line using a hook.

As the Lesco officials started making a video of the hook being used for power theft as a proof, Mazhar Shah, along with three other unidentified men attacked them, leaving one of the team members severely injured. The attackers then fled the scene, the FIR said.

The injured official was taken to the local rural health centre. Later, on the report of Lesco SDO Muhammad Jameel, Hujra police registered a case against the suspects.
