Qul of Aimal Zaman today
PESHAWAR: The Rasm-i-Qul of Pakistan former top golfer Dr Aimal Zaman will be held here today (Wednesday) at H.No. 30 Turangzai Market Road, G-4 Hayatabad.
The deceased, who was a recipient of Nishan-i-Imtiaz, has left behind a widow, two sons and two daughters along with other relatives and friends to mourn his death.
The deceased was son of son of late Retd Maj Haider Zaman and father of Kaimoore Zaman and Zeerak Zaman. He was also cousin of Engineer Baatur Zaman, Tahir Zaman, Shahid Zaman and Baryalay Khattak.
Late Dr Aimal Zaman was a prominent golfer and had secured various national and international titles. He had also remained the chairman of Kaghan Development Authority.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Golf Federation condoled the death of Dr Aimal Zaman and prayed to Almighty Allah to rest his soul in eternal peace and his legacy continue to inspire future generations.
In a condolence message, the federation stated that Dr Zaman was a distinguished champion and a revered figure in the world of Pakistani golf.
It stated that Dr Zaman won the prestigious 32nd Pakistan Open Golf Championship in 1992, a crowning achievement that cemented his legacy in the sport.
“His commitment to golf saw him represent Pakistan on numerous international platforms, bringing honor and recognition to the country,” it added.
